I graduated from West Texas State University (now part of the Texas A&M system) in 1980 with a BSN in Nursing. For two years after graduation I worked as a  Registered Nurse in Galveston, Texas at John Sealy Hospital and completed a Critical Care Nursing Internship. In 1982 my anesthesia training began in Kansas City, Missouri at Truman Medical Center School for Nurse Anesthesia.

I obtained a Master of Arts degree in Human Physiology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and completed my anesthesia training in December of 1984 at which time I started my anesthesia practice as part of Capitol Anesthesiology in Austin, Texas. I provided anesthesia in multiple settings including a County Hospital, a large private Catholic Hospital and two Outpatient Surgery facilities. In 1988 I moved to Sheboygan, Wisconsin and practiced at St. Nicholas Hospital for 17 years where I provided all types of anesthesia for a wide variety of surgical specialties.

In January 2006, I became self-employed and President of Paragon Anesthesia, Ltd. I also became an anesthesia provider for CRNA Associates. My primary practice location is Paragon Surgical Center in Sheboygan providing anesthesia for ENT and Facial Plastics surgical procedures.
